                           Vidhana Soudha 
Bangalore attractions...A building to see and marvel is the Vidhana Soudha, considered to be among the most imposing building of India as a whole. It is a mixture of modern and neo-Dravidian architectural style and has been constructed using both granite and present materials like steel, cement, glass etc. The architecture is breathtaking as it consists of wonderfully carved pillars, bases, pediments, cornices, arches etc. The best part is the huge and wide grand stairs of 45 steps which lies at its front. They lead directly to the entrance of the first floor towards an Assembly Chamber.

                         Attara Kacheri ( Highcourt)
highcourt bangalore, attara kacheriThe Karnataka High Court (Attara Kacheri) is situated in Bangalore. It is a breathtaking red brick and stone building and employs the Greco-Roman (neo-classical) architecture style. It has two stories and overlooks the Vidhan Sabha, Karnataka's legislature seat. Its construction was supervised by Mudaliar and completed by 1868. Earlier named as Old Public Offices and now named as Attara Kacheri, meaning eighteen departments. It is so named as these 18 departments of the revenue and general secretariat of the Mysore Government were transferred here from the Tipu Sultan summer palace.

                                       Brigade Road 
Among the best places to go for shopping or window shopping is the Brigade Road, among the busiest and largest commercial places of Bangalore and lies between two major roads, Residency Road and MG Road. It has numerous shops and retail outlets of domestic and international brands. It has clubs, pubs, discos and other hip hop places. Every year, New Year is celebrated with pomp and show here.

                             Bull temple/Nandi temple 
bull temple bangaloreThe Bull temple also known as the Nandi Temple is located at the Bull Temple Road in Basavanagudi. It is dedicated to Nandi, the sacred bull and celestial vahana (mount) for Lord Shiva. The temple is itself small and was built using the architecture style of Vijayanagara era during the Vijayanagara times in 1537.However, the statue of Nandi is massive and has been carved from single granite and is considered the largest Nandi statue of the world (5 meter tall, 6 meter long). A new tower (vimana) with motifs and Saivite figures has been constructed in 20th century. 

                                       Lake / Ulsoor Lake
Lakes (or “tanks”) are other beauty spots of Bangalore and are man made ones constructed in 16th century through bunds as no close by rivers exists. Presently, only 17 remain, considering the healthy and good ones, out of the previous 51 lakes. The remaining lakes have been encroached and converted into colonies etc. as part of Urban Development. These lakes have fresh water and have a varied range of fauna and flora. Some of the notable lakes are The Ulsoor Lake (near MG Road at Halasuru), Madiwala Lake (among the largest lakes), the Sankey Tank (recently renovated); Hebbal Lake, Lalbagh Lake (at Lalbagh garden), Agara Lake, Puttenahalli Lake, Jarganhalli Lake, Kamakshipalya Lake, Vengaihnakere and Nagavara Lake. These lakes also have boating, parks, playgrounds, fountains and jogging area and some are famous grounds for Ganesh Charturthi immersion. 

                               Lalbagh Botanical Garden
Lal Bagh sprawls over an area of 240 acres of land with colourful flower beds. The garden is a result of attempts made by Hyder Ali and his son Tipu Sultan who imported a great variety of trees and plants from across seas. You can find a great variety of tropical and sub tropical plants, trees and herbs that are abundant in their natural beauty. Lal Bagh is among one of the most beautiful gardens in India. An intricate water system of 17th century is used to irrigate the plants is observed within the garden.
Lal Bagh is artistically landscaped with an eye for ordering nature's beauty without confining it. It has an expansive lush lawns with a profusion of flowerbeds, lotus pools and tinkling fountains.
It also has a magnificent glass house built in 1840, on the lines of London's Crystal Palace. With marvellous collection of flowers, the Crystal Palace looks very vibrant.  Every year during the Independence day Flower show is been arranged.

                                        Cubbon Park 
The glorious Cubbon Park spreads over an area of about over 300 acres and houses various attractions for tourists, as well as the people of Bangalore, such as the rose garden, the Memorial Hall located at the centre of the park that is dedicated to Aeshadri Aiyar, a Jawahar Bal Bhavan, a Children's Park and a Doll Museum. The Chief Engineer of Mysore, Sir Richard Sankey, laid the foundation for the park in 1864 and it was named after Sir Mark Cubbon, the longest serving commissioner of Bangalore.
Beautiful roads, blooming trees and placid plains are spread all around. Cubbon Park is a lush, grassy expanse with flowerbeds adding to the subtle beauty of the park. The park also has several elegant Graeco-colonial style building showing British influence. There are a number of monuments within the park including a memorial hall located at the center of the park that is dedicated to Aeshadri Aiyar, a Jawahar Bal Bhavan, Children's Park and a Museum. 

The Cubbon Park is known for its various attractions which set it apart from every other park. The aquarium at the entrance boasts of a good collection of exotic fish and is also the second largest aquarium in the country. The lush green park is only broken by a road that acts a perfect place for joggers and fitness-conscious people to work up a sweat. Early morning walks through this track is a perfect delight and a much enjoyed activity for the people of this city. It is a nice place for children to hang out, safe from the busy streets of the city, and children can often be seen playing games and climbing the natural rocks within the Park. The central garden inside the park has an open stage, which is often used by amateur or professional artists for performances or gigs.
